Breakfast is a special time at the Anton-Walsh House.

AWdine.jpg (101340 bytes)Served from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., you'll find foods that reflect the rich flavor of the north woods as well as the dairy state.

Because Wisconsin is the dairy state, you will discover fresh butter, cream and eggs featured in many of our dishes.  To ensure top quality for you, some of our breakfast meats - like Kielbasa Jalowcowa, a juniper berry sausage - come from a special Chicago sausage maker using old-world Polish recipes with no cereals or fillers.

The north woods has many unique flavors that are incorporated into meals you just won't find anyplace else.

Our signature dish is a pudding made from native wild rice, maple syrup and cranberries; spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Changing seasons and the local farmers' market bring you more local treats. Cranberry marmalade, pumpkin butter, fresh berries and locally-grown apples can provide a light refreshing breakfast or top a hearty Belgian waffle. Even jams and preserves are made right here in our own kitchen. Cranberry-walnut conserve is prepared after the fall harvest of Vilas County cranberries. Apple sauces are prepared with fresh Cortland apples from the Bayfield area orchards. And our Black & Blue jam incorporates the blueberries and blackberries so abundant near Lake Superior.
