Welcome! The snow has begun our 2008-2009 winter
season.
Winter is an exciting time at the top of
Wisconsin. We have snow, even when nobody else does. An average of 204
inches of snow falls on Hurley each year! Let us offer you our warmest
hospitality with comfortable rooms and delicious food as you explore
our winter wonderland.
Discover this intimate and historic bed
& breakfast inn located in downtown Hurley, Wisconsin. We offer three
unique rooms, each with its own theme and private bathroom. Book one room -- or
the entire inn for your small group. A hearty, home-cooked breakfast is
included with your stay. Savor the flavor of the north woods and the dairy
state as you rise to the aroma of fresh muffins baking. They're just one
part of a two-course breakfast to fuel you for your day in the snow. Wi-Fi
and Ethernet high speed Internet connection is free.
For all of your winter fun, you'll find the
convenience of our location cannot be beat! Just one block south of Hurley's
World Famous Silver Street, you can easily walk to restaurants, nightlife,
shopping and the Iron County Historic Museum.
The inn is centrally located between 140 km of
Nordic ski trails in Wisconsin's north woods and Michigan's western Upper
Peninsula.
Discover the best Alpine skiing in the Midwest.
The Anton-Walsh House is centrally located between four downhill ski resorts
in the Lake Superior Snow Belt. You can see a photo from one of out guests
taken on the great terrain of The Whitecap Mountains 15 minutes to the west
of us. To the east you'll also find Big Powderhorn and Indianhead Mountain
... and we're just an hour from Michigan's Porcupine Mountains.
The alley behind our inn is a spur linking you
directly to Iron County's snowmobile trail system. Within the county there
are some 500 miles of well groomed snowmobile trails. We're also just 2
blocks from the border of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. So you've got instant
access to more than 1,000 miles of snowmobile trails within a 50 mile radius
of the Anton-Walsh House. And you can ride from right outside our door.
